Presentation Title & Description:
Giving Your Patients Something to Smile About - The Art of
Direct Resin (A Participation Course)
*Morning Lecture (open to everyone)
followed by Afternoon Hands-on Program (limited to 40 participants):
sponsored by Ivoclar North America
Our patients today want their dentistry less invasive and
more esthetic. Direct Resin accomplishes both. However, esthetic
standards have been raised. Restoring anterior teeth with
a single shade and opacity is no longer acceptable. Also,
Dentists are challenged to keep current with a multitude of
improved materials and to solve unique clinical problems.
This lecture will present a simplified approach to this exciting
area of dentistry which leads to predictable results that
please the patient and the dentist.
In the hands-on workshop participants will have the opportunity
to use a new, state of the art, naturally shaded composite
system. Exercises include placement of an invisible Class
IV as well as placement of a direct resin veneer for a “peg
lateral”. Magnification loupes are suggested. All other
materials will be provided.
Learning Objectives:
1) To gain an appreciation for conservative direct resin
restorations.
2) To learn the essential features of a naturally shaded composite
system.
3) To understand the stratification of opacities to achieve
life-like restorations.
4) To be able to apply these conservative techniques practically
and efficiently in a general practice.
5) To increase the joy of dentistry by enhancing patient’s
smiles.
Note: The lecture is a prerequisite for the hands-on workshop.

K. William Mopper,
DDS, MS, FAACD
Presentation
Title & Description: The Art & Science of Direct Resin
Bonding
When done properly, direct bonding is truly the most creative
dental treatment that today’s dentist can render. Many
dentists, however, encounter problems that make direct bonding
difficult, with results being both unpredictable and often
unsatisfactory.
Dr. Mopper knows that there are easy solutions to these esthetic
problems. He is certain that any dentist who has the desire
can easily achieve beautiful, esthetic, lifelike and physiologic
results through direct bonding.
He believes that the first consideration necessary to obtain
excellent results is understanding when, how, and where bonding
materials should be used and what results can be expected
from their use.
The presentation will concern itself with a brief discussion
of different materials available in the marketplace and how
and why he selects and uses them. Next, the value of opaquing
and tinting to augment composite material selection and application
will be emphasized and his methods for color modification
will be described. Lastly, he will discuss the need for proper
contouring, finishing and polishing and demonstrate the way
in which he achieves this.
“We are just in the infancy period of esthetic dentistry
by the artistic dentist. We all should become familiar with
it. It truly makes dentistry more rewarding and enjoyable
for both the patient and the dentist. It certainly has changed
my life.” This is Dr. Mopper’s profound feeling
and what he hopes to demonstrate to all.
About Dr. Mopper:
Dr. Mopper has been a practicing dentist and teacher in Winnetka,
Illinois, for more than 40 years and lectures extensively
both nationally and internationally. He has been involved
with bonding materials and techniques from their inception.
He coauthored A Complete Guide to Dental Bonding, which was
the first definitive book for the dental profession describing
bonding techniques. He is cofounder and chairman of Cosmedent
Inc. Dr. Mopper is the recent recipient of New York University
College of Dentistry’s Irwin Smigel Prize in Aesthetic
Dentistry, the AACD award for Outstanding Contribution to
Cosmetic Dentistry, and The Lifetime Achievement Award for
the GenR8Tnext seminars. Dr. Mopper is a fellow of the American
Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a member of the American Academy
of Esthetic Dentistry, founder and fellow of the American
Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a fellow of the American College

Dr.
Eric P. Mandelbaum
Presentation
Title & Description: Ten Specific Techniquest that Dentists
can utilize Monday Morning to Help Them Earn More Money, Keep
More Money, and Enjoy Living the Great Life!
Dr. Mandelbaum's seminar, Practice Rejuvenation Program,
and Financial Independence Program will give seminar attendees
TONS OF NEW INFORMATION that you can take to your practice
Monday morning.
1) Hear how you can open up the floodgates and create a FLOW
of 19 EXTRA of the RIGHT kind of new patients a month, every
month, starting just 23 days after hearing Eric’s Marketing
Plan Secrets.
2) Even if “well run”, your office is losing an
average of $103,264.00 a year from the TIME THIEFS! Literally
taking your kids’ college tuition AND RETIREMENT FUNDING
right out of your pocket. Patients who NO-SHOW or cancel at
the last minute are costing the average single doctor office
over $100,000.00 a year. And that’s not “Gross”…since
you’ve already paid your overhead, that adds up to $103,264.00
loss of YOUR PROFITS. Two simple sentences added to your team’s
verbal skills will recapture 95% of this “blood-letting”
loss of profits, and bump your collections up to 7% higher
than production! This one strategy will NET you enough to
fund your entire retirement year after year.
1) eliminate no shows and short term cancellations.
2) increase collections to as high as 7% to 10% more than
production.
3) Follow Dr. Mandelbaum’s golden proportion guidelines
for overhead control and
Re-create your practice into a take more than half of what
you kill monster! Learn a simple system (so simple a chimpanzee
could easily do it over and over again) that will bring your
overhead down so that you can start feeling the glory of profitable
practice. This two minute monthly exercise will pour thousands
of dollars into your checking account. It’s the shot
in the arm you need to get ahead.
4) Socialism was proven to be an absolute dismal failure years
ago. Dr. Mandelbaum will show you that your colleagues and
the insurance industry have created a socialistic society
that’s sapping your well deserved riches. He’ll
prove to you that it simply doesn’t work in dentistry
either. Learn how to strategically adjust fees to:
1) attract new patients.
2) flood your recall department with patients that provide
the type of production that YOU WANT TO PROVIDE
3) Generate more income (and profit) from dental care. 4)
feel great about providing comprehensive dental treatment.
5) Staffing issues can be that poisonous dart in the heart
of any practice. Patients can see, hear and feel the tension
in your office. You’re losing ground to your competitors
that know the secret to hiring and cultivating an awesome,
rock solid staff. A seasoned, polished staff will make a doctor
shine in his/her environment and will bring your pot of gold
to you instead of requiring that you find the end of your
rainbow. Learn how to attract and keep that elegant and professional
staff of your dreams. Learn how to motivate them to work like
they own the practice to bring you the dividends on your investment.
6) Scheduling for killer productivity is critical to the success
of your practice. Learn how to structure your organization
to be able to provide service anytime and anywhere in the
schedule. This one technique will show you how easy it is
to turn those unproductive days into the $15,000 days that
any dentist would drool over. We’re talking about easy
$2600.00 to $3800.00 per hour routine care. No roller skates
required for this! Learn why block scheduling will drive a
boutique style practice into the ground faster than a pneumatic
hammer!
7) You’re working way too hard to have to worry about
money. Dentistry can, and will bring the financial freedom
to you that you desire if only you could learn a few key secrets.
Learn about saving and debt consolidation for financial independence.
Learn the system that has helped hundreds of small town country
doc.s to become debt free and, financially independent without
gambling in the stock market. We’re talking about more
money than you will ever need for the rest of your life (and
likely your immediate families lifetime too!)
8) Learn about guilt free vacationing……10 to 12
weeks per year! Finally a real “in the trenches”
practitioner explains why you can’t afford not to take
more vacation. Learn how I personally increased my take home
143% when I understood the value of this one lesson. Why drive
yourself into the ground grinding away year after year when
you can enjoy your family, friends, and hobbies. Imagine the
wonderful feeling of seeing your children get on the school
bus to go to elementary school with a fun filled day ahead
of you, while your neighbors drag themselves to work…….3
days per week….EVERY WEEK OF THE YEAR! Learn the secret
behind the smile of the most powerful and successful movers
shakers on the planet. You’ve heard Dr. Mandelbaum talk
about the “Quietly Getting Rich” smile. Learn
how you can wear it every day.
9)Understand the value of the confidence-centered staff that
comes from clear communication. This starts with a simple
ten-minute meeting to discuss the four key features of the
day. Forget any one of these facets of practice and you could
end up spinning your wheels. THE BIG EXTRA KICK TO PROVE THIS
WILL BE THE BEST PRODUCT YOU HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO
ENJOY
10) Learn why YOU and every other dentist in North America
can use every one of the above mentioned easy to understand
ideas to generate millions of dollars and days to spare to
enjoy them!

Dr.
McHenry "Mac" Lee & Joleen Jackson
 Presentation
Title & Description: How To Talk To Your Patients Like
You Talk To Your Hairdresser
Ask your team if you make dentistry too confusing or complicated.
Ask them if you talk too much. Ask them if they would like
to be involved with the patients more. Ask them if they would
like to be themselves when they are talking with patients.
Ask them if you need to learn some of this material. This
seminar will focus on how to talk to patients no matter if
you are doctor, front desk, assistant, hygienist, PCC, TC
or if you are giving a talk to the PTA about dentistry. This
is not the kind of seminar one can pop in and out of to see
what is being discussed. It will build with one idea on another
and another. Each participant will receive a complimentary
copy of the book, Nothin' Personal Doc, But I Hate Dentists
- The Feel Good Guide To Going To The Dentist!
We will go over actual cases to show how easy it is to communicate
to the patient as to their problem and solution. We will also
show how important it is to know digital photography and how
to use it to communicate. Our system allows a GP to have a
cosmetic practice within his or her regular practice. This
is a must course for those who want a GP practice only, want
both GP and cosmetic, want to move from GP to cosmetic.
